We went to Chickie's and Pete's after a tour of the Phillies Stadium. Chickie's and Pete's started out as a corner neighborhood bar and has expanded to a northeast Philly location, the Packer Avenue location, and now also has locations in Egg Harbor, NJ, and Bordentown, NJ. They are famous for their crab fries which they also serve at the Phillies games. They also serve seafood, sandwiches, and pizza. I always get the mussels in red sauce when I go there, they are delicious. This time, we got a pizza also and it was very good, thin, crispy crust with lots of cheese. While my brother was here visiting, we decided to do the tour of the Phillies Ballpark before dropping him off at the airport. I really enjoyed the tour, it was something nice to do as a family. We were concerned about the walking because my mother was with us, but the gentleman who ran our tour, took his time so as not to make my mother have to walk too fast. He was a wonderful tour guide, very informative and personable. After a 10-minute film about old Veterans Stadium and the construction of the new park, we proceeded on our tour. He took us into areas such as one of the boxes, Ashburn Alley, the dugout, bullpens, batting cages, Diamond Club which has a view above the batting cages, media room...Read More
