The best days to visit the park are the Saturday and Monday of the holiday weekend. Surprisingly, Saturday is the least busy of the three days.

Quick Tips:

Do take advantage of the hotel/park packages. They are a pretty good deal when you are staying at a Cedar Point resort. Do stay at a Cedar Point resort. There really is not much in Sandusky and you cannot beat walking to and from your hotel at your leisure.

Best Way To Get Around:

Walking to and from the park and your Cedar Point resort is the best way to get around. The money you save on parking over a three-day weekend is enough to pay for lunch.
The rooms in this hotel are fairly old, except for in the newer wing, which is priced accordingly. The older side is a really good deal. It is not much more expensive to stay at the resort on the island than it is to stay off the island in a Holiday Inn or something. It is a great location right next to the beach, Soak City, Adventure Park, and Cedar Point.

Restaurant

This venue sells the best pretzels in the world. I wait every year to get to Cedar Point to buy as many pretzels as I can consume in one day. I can usually eat about two a day. These pretzels are better than your average pretzel because the dough actually has a sweet flavor. The salt and the sweet dough tastes incredible. Please note that this is the only place in the park that sells these pretzels. There are other pretzel sellers in the park, but they are Super Pretzel brand and you can buy those in your grocery store. Also, these are always freshly made, unlike the frozen Super Pretzels that then sit in a spinning heat lamp cage until someone buys one. One pretzel is about $3. That is a salt only pretzel. Dips and sauces are extra.
