A leisurely stroll along the banks of the Rhine is the perfect way to spend an afternoon in Kamp Bornhofen but if you are in town longer there are enough things to do to nicely fill a few days.Feeling energetic? Kamp Bornhofen has two ruined castles which present a good but not too exhausting climb. This slightly down at heel but perfectly adequate hotel is used mainly by visiting British coach parties that keep it busy even during the off season. However, you may be able to get a room if you have turned up in town without a reservation and are struggling. It's at the western end of the village, a few minutes walk from the main part and opposite the pleasure boat moorings. There are rooms in the main building and more in the small annexe beside the convent church Augustin St Marys. The bells rin...Read More

This cosy and traditional Rheinish Weinstube ( more like a "wine pub" than a "wine bar") this is one of the nicest places to spend an evening in Kamp Bornhofen, especially in winter when you can sit near the huge open fire and and sample some very good local wines. The staff are really friendly and can recommend a wine to suit your tastes. Food is served in the early evening. The interior is charming and traditional with wooden tables and stone flags. This place stays open late and is the only drinking place at the Boppard end of town so its a good thing then that it is such a pleasant place to spend the evening.Accomodation is available in rooms above the Weinstu...Read More
