Kauai, you Make my Heart Smile

Kauai is what people think Hawaii will be like.

First, this is not a deluxe hotel. In fact it barely lives up to the description on its own website. If you want a nice hotel stay at the Hyatt. If you want a great location and great rates stay here. We have stayed 4 times and never paid more than $150 a night.

The rooms are perfectly acceptable. The shower is the only minus as it is just a stall and there is no tub. Honestly, it's just a basic hotel room. A good nights sleep with no frills.

What the Aloha has going for it in spades is location. It is right next to the Lydgate State Park where there is a small sea wall built to create a swim area protected from the surf. It is also about halfway on the main highway around the island.

Picture this, you wake up with the sunrise and walk a short walk across a grass field to the ocean and hop right in to the peaceful water and swim as the sun rises. It doesn't get any better than that, folks. We have done this almost everyday we have stayed in Kauai.

My best tip would be to stay here for most of you r trip, then stay at the Hyatt for a night or two. Kauai is a place to explore. If you stay at the Hyatt you are not going to want to leave the hotel grounds.

Aloha Beach Hotel Kauai

I love this place. Where else can you get great food good service from a 12 year-old? It is the perfect place for a local Hawaiian breakfast.
