This is a very pleasant beach to visit. I went there several times to watch the sunset as it was close to where I stayed. They have barbecue grills and concrete picnic tables right near the beach, so you can have dinner and watch the sun set. We got there just in time to see the sun set while we ate our grilled burgers.
There is a seal beach nearby that is protected by the Conservation Department. They breed seals here and you can get fairly close to them, though it is roped off at a certain point. There is also a small pier you can walk out on to that enables you to get a good view of the seals as well. While I was out on this pier one day I saw several whales that were probably 200 yards away.
There is also a small walkway above the beach, so if you don't want to get sandy you can stroll along the paved sidewalk and enjoy the sea breezes and the sun set if the time is right. There seemed to be plenty of parking along the road each time I was there, so that shouldn't be an issue, but that probably depends on what time of year you are visiting. I recommend this beach. It is beautiful!
