The best thing to see is the ocean as you come into the airport. The colours are spectacular. The beaches are not to be missed! Hit the evening street festival in Hamilton on Thursday nights. Great food, great music, and entertainment. It runs from April to October.
Quick Tips:
There are no cheap hotels. I recommend looking for deals online. I have been fairly successful with Expedia although I am sure there are other sites that offer similar discounts. You won't find hotels for under except for the off season. The off season is from December to April inclusive. The weather during this time is cool and can be rainy. You will see deals but they are deals for a reason. It is not a super time for tourists.Best Way To Get Around:
The public transportation is efficient, get a map and by the tickets. The cash fare is expensive. I would recommend a week or daily pass. You can get on ferries and buses with a pass. Taxis are moderately priced. It will cost to get from he airport to middle of town. Walking is an option if you're close to Hamilton but if not the bus is the best way to see the island.
