An April 2006 trip to Galveston by bedmond

Rudy & Paco's

Restaurant | "Rudy & Paco's"

Quote:
Rudy & Paco's is truly a restaurant gem and is almost all locals or second homeowners from Houston. The food is incredible and a fabulous dining experience in Galveston. They have incredibly fresh fish and they also have incredible steak/beef entrées. Paco always greets you at the door and welcomes you "home." It's near downtown Galveston, "The Strand," but enough off-beat where you're away from all the typical tourists. Many of the dishes have a Salvadorean flavor that makes it a great experience that is so different from your typical Mexican or seafood places everywhere else on the island.

Moody Gardens

Attraction

Quote:
Moody Gardens really has done a tremendous job with the rainforest pyramid, as well as IMAX and incredible aquariums. They also have a fun beach play area for kids where you can pull up a chair and watch the kids have tons of fun in the sand. It's a great attraction in Galveston and can certainly provide entertainment for the day.
