Atmosphere Restaurant

@mosphere or Atmosphere - this is the best restaurant in Kota Kinabalu. On the 18th floor of Sabah's most famous building, you get great views of the city, islands and mountains - and better yet - great food. There is a wide selection on the menu and great value lunch specials. I recommend the lamb shanks to all the visitors - but everything is great and the prices are less than entertaining in any of the hotels. This is a must-do for anyone on holiday to Sabah!

The English Tea House is a must-stop for anybody who is in Sandakan - which is anyone who goes over to see the orangutans or the turtles! Sitting on a hill overlooking Sandakan town, the bay and islands, it is a colonial oasis. Fantastic gardens and peacocks and music that brings you back to the days of Agnes Kieth and British North Borneo. The staff are marvelously friendly and the food is great - an otherworldly experience for anyone who has spend hot days in the jungles of Borneo and is looking for a place to relax and regroup. They even have wireless Internet - so you could spend hours upon hours here. Love it!
