Scuba Dive in Kauai with Aquatic Adventures

This is one of my favorite restaurants on Kauai! Trying to find an affordable restaurant with great food and great service can be extremely difficult on this island, but Kalaheo Cafe and Coffee Company has all of these qualities.

They serve breakfast and lunch daily but only serve dinner from Wednesday to Saturday and that is where you really get your $ worth! Their entrées are phenomenal - they use only the freshest fish, meat, and vegetables, the portions are generous, the food absolutely delicious and the service is always good. I eat there all the time, have tried just about everything on their menu and never had a bad experience in any way.

I send all my customers there (I own a scuba company here in Kauai--Aquatic Adventures Scuba) and every single one of them comes back with rave reviews.

For first-time visitors, try the sampler appetizer (ribs, coconut-encrusted shrimp, and pork/shrimp gyozas) - you can't go wrong with that. Their homemade macaroni is yummy, and they have a new dessert called the "chocolate pot" that I order every time. I could go on and on but I'll stop here. Try it! You'll love it!

Whether you're a first-time or certified diver, Koloa Landing is one of the most awesome dives you can do in Kauai. I've logged over 1000 dives there and I am continually amazed at what I find. The set-up area isn't the prettiest but don't judge a book by its cover or you'll miss out on what it could be the best dive experience of your vacation (and maybe your dive career)!

If you want visually stunning, this may not be the dive site for you. But if you want aquatic life galore then come on down. From huge endangered Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles to playful monk seals and curious spotted eagle rays, from the rare Harlequin Shrimp to the fun banded coral shrimp, which loves to give you a free manicure, there is so much to see and experience. Don't let dive cynics fool you - this is a great dive for those who appreciate our beautiful underwater world.
