I heard that great writers always write about what they know. Since I don't know anything I thought I could share where I live...

Superman Tower of Power
Last year my daughter and I got season passes for Six Flags over Texas. This amusement park has lots to offer and when you can come and go as you please it just gets better.

They have added 10 new rides over the last year and although they are mostly carnival fare, the experience is still wholesome and affordable.

My first employment ever was Six Flags Magic Mountain in California. When I finished my three-month tour all those years ago I thought I would not be coming back.  We went 6 times last year.

The park is clean the staff seem kind and approachable for directions. The big thing is that I don't feel I am being gouged at the restaurants and shops. As a matter of fact I bought some Scooby Doo underwear on sale! Maybe I am sharing too much…

Definitely worth the price of admission.

This park is on the south side of Lake Grapevine which is a 7,380 acre lake. This is the lake that you see when approaching DFW airport for landing from north to south. This area is maintained by the US Army Core of Engineers and interconnects to other parks.

This is a natural trail with indigenous plants and wildlife. There are also picnic areas with tables and BBQ stands over looking the lake. This park in particular is used for dog walks, bicycling, joggers, and hikers.

Bicycling includes the use of the paved "streets" and mountain bike trails. The trails are supposed to be varied in degrees of difficulty. I can only speak for the beginner trails, but find them fun and so far haven't even fallen off the bike.

The park hours are from 7am to 9pm.

You can get in from the Oaks Grove side off of Dove Loop and the lake access side or direct onto Horseshoe Trails from Dove Road just west of Cimarron Trail.
