Hotel | "CapeWind Waterfront Motel"

CapeWind
The peace that the CapeWind has brought to me every year is what has me coming back again and again. The rooms are moderately priced. The best deal is the 5-night package that runs from Sunday to Thursday night. There are many new updates to the motel from the new owner and management that took over the motel a couple years ago. I have stayed in the kitchenette and studio rooms. There are all tastefully decorated and all with there own little details. While the kitchen was small, it served it purpose to cook small meals occasionally. The staff are friendly and the general manager will do anything to accommodate you during your stay. I highly recommend the CapeWind to anyone. It is centrally located to town but offers that quite and peace that many look for in Cape Cod. Also, on a side note, it says that it is in Arkansas and for some reason it cannot be fixed the correct address is 34 Maravista Ave Ext, Falmouth, Ma 02536 and the phone number is (508) 548-3400.

Seafood Sam'sBest of IgoUgo

Restaurant

I have always read wonderful reviews about Seafood Sam's in Cape Cod Life Magazine and other travel guides but I have never gone. This year was different. A quick stop there to dinner on our first day made us come back two more times while in Falmouth. The fried clams are the best I had ever had in the cape. The seafood platter for two is the best deal there. It's some of the best seafood I had in the cape.

Restaurant | "The Flying Bridge"

The Flying Bridge
The Flying Bridge Restaurant is consistently rated one of the best waterfront restaurants in Falmouth. It has great views of Falmouth Harbor and amazing food to go with the view. The prices for the menu are comparable to other fine dining establishments. The quality of food is good and the amount of food you get is well worth the price. The stuffed lobster dinner is excellent. The restaurant is easily reachable by boat, if you are lucky enough to have one. The Flying Bridge is a must-eat at while in Falmouth.

Island Queen FerryBest of IgoUgo

Attraction

A great way to get to see Martha's Vineyard is by taking the Island Queen Ferry. From Falmouth Harbor to Oaks Bluffs Harbor it takes about 35 minutes. The minimal fare of $15 roundtrip for adults is very reasonable compared to other ferries in the area. Many hotels offer discounted rates as well. There is a snack bar aboard the ship and the staff are friendly and helpful. Parking in the Island Queen lot in Falmouth is a little pricy of $15 per calendar day but it is also an average price for parking anywhere in the cape. On a calm and clear day you can see Martha's Vineyard from the Falmouth Harbor and makes for a nice scenic ride.

The Falmouth Visitor Advantage Card is a great investment for anyone visiting Falmouth for more than 5 days. There is a $20 charge for the card but it gives you discounts all over Falmouth. You save money on things such as lodging, dining, shopping, activities, and services. Right now there are about 50 businesses taking part in the advantage card and more are being added onto the list everyday. The card is good for one year, so you can use it over and over again. While I was in Falmouth for one week, I saved well over the $20 cost of the card at participating businesses. It is worth the investment! The card can be purchased at multiple locations but I suggest purchasing it at The Capewind Waterfront Motel.
