Overview

You must have a margarita at Margaritaville!

Quick Tips:

There isn't a need to change much money over if coming from the United States. Most places accept the U.S. Dollar.

Best Way To Get Around:

Taxi is the best bet for getting around on the street side. Otherwise, everything is within walking distance in Negril and walking on the beach proved safest on my trip, even at night, as many people walk along the beach and it is well-lit.

Hotel

CocoLaPalm was a quiet enough hotel but definitely not boring. There was a beach bar/restaurant with great food, as well as a restaurant where breakfast was served. The room was nice, we had no problems with it at all. A security person stood on the beach at all times, helping with lounge chairs during the day and adding to CocoLaPalm's safety at night. Additionally, the hotel is located just five minutes walk from Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville and close by to other restaurants, bars, and shopping. It is also right on the beach, you can't beat that.

Restaurant

Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville was great! I had to go back again just to have the volcanic nachos. The drinks were great as well. In Negril, Margaritaville is located on the beach with a stage, and also has water trampolines in front of the property.

Attraction | "The Jungle"

Fun place. Multi-level with different rooms. When I was there, however, the toilets in the ladies room overflowed but you wouldn't believe how little we all cared and trapsed through anyway, after enjoying unlimited drinks all night.
