This is just a journal of random places to go that I will be adding to as I take more and more weekend trips.

Although I only live 2 hours away, I don't get to come to Atlanta to visit friends as often as I'd like, but when I do, I almost always drag everyone I know to Maggiano's. This Italian restaurant is by far the best Italian food I've ever had. The menu is extremely extensive with everything from pasta to steak and seafood. You can also order two different ways. Everyone can order their own meal or for a sampling of different things on the menu you can order family style and choose two things from each of the following to share with the whole table: appetizer, salad, pasta, main course, vegetables (add $$$), and dessert.

A WARNING to orders though. The portions are HUGE. When I go I have to do one of three things.
1. Order a regular order of pasta and split with someone (even then we sometimes don't finish it).
2. Order a small order of pasta and still take home for a meal for the next day or two.
3. Order a small salad and SIDE of pasta and still not always finish it all.

You may be thinking, "oh, let's not be silly, I can finish a single serving of pasta!" well, don't be too sure. I have never been and finished everything. Plus, if you don't get too much you can order one of their incredible desserts, one of which is pictured. Also, don't be turned off to getting a side order of pasta. It's the size of a regular order anywhere else and you get to choose from 5 different kinds of pasta and 5 or so different kinds of sauce. It's a great alternative if you're running low on cash also. When my friends spend $20 on an entrée for themselves I can get a side salad and side pasta for under $10 and still have a wonderful dinner. Although, if you want an entrée pasta my recommendation is one of their baked specialty, the Gnocchi with Tomato Vodka Sauce, it's to die for!

If you'd like more information or directions to the restaurant you can visit their website at www.maggianos.com
Happy eating!
