Our Little Summer Getaway

You cannot miss SeaWorld! It really is three parks in one. Obviously, you have to visit the Alamo. Six Flags is nearby Seaworld. Downtown San Antonio has an assortment of shops and really cool restaurants to go to. There is also a very nice mall, and lot's of things to do and see in downtown area. Just park in a parking garage and walk.Quick Tips: I do suggest that if you are going to go to Texas don't go in the Summer when it is boiling hot, unless you like hot weather. I don't mind it, but my poor boyfriend was soaked everyday from sweat. Do as much planning as possible, that way you can hit everything that you want to see. Go to San Antonio's city page and request a free vacation...Read More

The price was great, maybe too great. Be very careful when you decide to go the cheap way on motels/hotels. I know that we were not going back to the Embassy Suites because we didn't have the money this year. I regret going to this hotel, we had such a bad experience. We did have enough money to splurge on the suite, which seemed very nice once we got to the motel. It was very large and had a lot of space to put our clothing. The room was very warm, but it was the middle of summer in Texas, so it was going to be hot until we turned on the A/C. Or at least that is what we thought. We turned on the A/C and it started to make this awful, high-pitched squeaking sound. My thought was, just let it run fo...Read More

I love going to SeaWorld. If I could live at this place, I would. This SeaWorld is really nice because it is like three parks in one. It has all the animal attractions like a zoo, a lot of roller coasters like an amusment park, and then a water park all under one name: SEAWORLD!!! We did the same thing that we did in San Diego: we bought a season pass and used it everyday. The first day we went to SeaWorld, we participated in the Beluga interaction. We put on wetsuits and jumped into the frigid water of their pool (which actully felt really nice because it was 100 degrees that day). It was amazing, the beluga whales are too cute and really fun to play with. I didn't want to get out of the water. We...Read More

This place was the first place that we went to as soon as we arrived. It is centered in the middle of downtown San Antonio. Surrounding there are hotels, restaurants, and shopping strips, so there is a lot to do when your tour is over. It is free to enter. They give out free information at the desk inside. When you walk into the Alamo you get a very different presence that rushes over you. It really takes you back. Most people inside were talking very soft. Men took off their caps when they entered as to show respect. They have a lot of items inside to look at. When you exit the very first building, there is an amazing courtyard around back to walk through. Also, along the side there is anot...Read More
