Quick Tips:
Try to go to the Cape off season (September to May). It will be a lot less crowded, less expensive and the natives will treat you way better. The winter has drop dead prices at the hotels and the shopping is great. The beach is beautiful this time of year.
Best Way To Get Around:
You absolutely need a car to get around the Cape. There is no public transport and taxis are very hard to come by. If you are flying into Logan airport rent a car at the airport, it will be much cheaper than renting in the Cape and you have a ride back and forth from the airport.
It is only about an hour and a half drive from Boston and the drive is pretty straightforward. (Rt 93 to Rt 3) The Cape is at tne end of Route 3. The Sagamore bridge will be in front of you.
