Escape to Panama City Beach

Overview

The best thing about Panama City Beach is you can do everything or nothing at all. We had days filled with football at Hooters (which overlooks the Gulf of Mexico) and days where we lounged on the beach all day long sipping drinks from the Tiki Bar located directly at our condo. Directly across from the Summit are shopping, go carts, and such. Also, next door is Club La Vela, the largest night club in the USA. Signal Hill golf course is less than three blocks.

Quick Tips:

Best Way To Get Around:

A car is highly recommended for traveling in and around Panama City Beach.

We rented two units for the week. Two bedroom, 2 bath, and 1 1/2 bedroom, 2 bath. Both units were beautifully furnished and all units face the Gulf of Mexico, so you have fantastic sunset views in the evening. The 1 1/2 bedroom have bunk beds located in the hallway with a door to add to the privacy. The units were clean and well supplied with all the comforts of home. If at all possible, I would have to recommend reserving a corner unit (all are two bedroom). There is a restaurant and tiki bar on site so the kids can grab a snack while you ...Read More

Vortex Springs

Attraction

Vortex Springs is a must for any avid scuba diver. The pool is large and stocked well with fish. They have a man-made cavern system that you can swim through. The cavern opening is so large you almost forget that you have an overhead environment. If non divers are with your group, they are able to swim, slide, canoe, or raft for a nominal fee. Great fun for the whole family.

Hooter's

Attraction

Quote:

Hooter's reputation lives on in Panama City Beach! The boys ooh over the short shorts and the twenty plus televisions all showing football on Sunday. Everyone cheering for their favorite team. The wings are hot and the drinks are cold. What sets this Hooters apart is the view! If you arrive early enough to grab an outside booth, you can always look over your shoulder during commercials and gaze into the aquamarine that is the Gulf of Mexico.
