Breakfast Out in San Diego

A January 2007 trip to San Diego by sdbigguy

We were looking for something a little different and decided to have breakfast at either Crest Cafe or City Deli. The reason for the second choice was due to the fact that Crest sometimes has a long wait.

The owner was very quick to seat us, no waiting for a change. The food was very good. Robinson Avenue omelet for me and beef machachaca for my partner. Ice tea is always very good but make sure to ask for water if you want it. Flavors are very good, place is a little loud for conversations, waiter seemed to have an attitude like they he was having a bad day (seems to be the normal attitude from the staff on our last few visits). Tables are small but overall I would recommend it... menu does change from time to time so if you have a favorite it may not always be available.
