A June 2006 trip
to Oregon Coast by snuggle26
Quote: My husband and son and I took a last minute overnight trip to the Oregon coast. Stayed the night in Lincoln City and spent the next day at Seaside.

I stayed at this hotel on a trip to the coast. We made reservations a few hours before we arrived. We asked if they were running any specials and they said they were offering their suites for $109 a night. They normally run around $150 or so. We arrived at the hotel and were surprised to see that they had all their suites in one building and the regular rooms in another. When we got to our room we were really happy with what we saw. You walk in and there’s a vanity and the bathroom to the side. The bathroom was a good size and had a television mounted on the wall. I’ve never been in a hotel with a television in the bathroom and thought that was pretty cool. Then there is a section that has the two queen beds, which were very comfortable a dresser with another television, a little desk, nightstand, safe etc. There’s a big wall that divides the beds from the living section, which had a couch that I believe turns into another bed, yet another television, a table with 4 chairs, fridge, microwave, sink and a electric fireplace. Then there’s a door that leads you to your patio. It’s a nice big glass enclosed patio with a high railing. It’s safe enough that I felt comfortable letting my son out there without me having to hold him... They had placed a little table and 2 chairs out there for you to use. The view from our room was amazing. I’ve never stayed in an oceanfront hotel before and loved it.
The pool and spa at this resort honestly sucked. It’s in yet another building that you can either walk to if the weathers nice or drive to. The towels they proved there are tiny and very thin. The pool was dirty and the hot tub smelled a lot like chemicals and wasn’t very hot at all. We spent maybe 10 minutes here and decided that we just couldn’t handle the smell so we went back to our room. The only complaints I have about the hotel itself are the pool/spa and how dirty our curtains were. We were in a smoking room and the curtains looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. My only advice would be that if a nice pool is really important to you, then stay else where, but if what your looking for is just an incredible oceanfront room, then this is the place for you.
