The hotel is in Teton Village, which is about 30 minutes from the airport. The lobby is nicely decorated, and typical of what you would find at some of the nicer resorts. We checked in and proceeded to our room via this rickety old 2 person elevator. Our room was right next to this elevator, with a gorgeous view of the pipes and air conditioner units. Wood beams on the ceiling added an extra dose of claustrophobia since the room wasn't all that big. We switched rooms, and were given one in a separate section on the 2nd floor, accessible by a normal, working elevator. This room was a pool view, no wood beamed ceiling, and better than the first. There is a spa that has a very n...Read More

Amangani, meaning "Peaceful Home," is an Ultra-Luxury resort owned and operated by the Aman Resorts, and Jackson Hole is the only city in the U.S. to host one of their resorts. The resort is located on the East Gros Ventre Butte, and it is the setting for the most spectacular view of the Grand Teton Mountain Range. With just 40 suites, the Amangani offers relaxation and tranquility, surrounded by stunning architecture, and beautiful views.Take a walk down to the gorgeous outdoor heated pool. Not only is the pool spectacular, but while we were there, we stopped to notice how absolutely quiet and peaceful it was sitting by the pool. The ultimate in relaxation. ...Read More

After reading many reviews about the Mangy Moose, we decided to try it. It is located in Teton Village, at the base of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort for skiing. (Walking distance from the Snake River Lodge, Alpenhof, Four Seasons & other Resorts.)They open for dinner at 5:30pm. Dress was ski resort casual (did not see anyone 'dressed up'). Reservations are recommended, however, we went around 5:30pm on a week night without reservations, and we were seated right away. The decor is fun, with various movie posters, antique items, and a large moose with glowing green eyes on the wall. Unfortunately, my review of the food is not as 'glowing.' Coming into the restaurant, you w...Read More

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is located in Teton Village, in the heart of the Teton Mountains, about 20 minutes from downtown Jackson Hole, and 40 minutes from the JAC Airport. The majority of skiing is at an intermediate to expert level, so if you are a beginner (like I am), be aware that only about 10% are beginner trails. There are 116 trails, over half of which are expert runs. Even if you're not Jonny Moseley or Shaun White, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is still worth a visit for any skiing/snowboarding fan!A full day Lift ticket for an adult costs $72. For those of you who are not skiers, but would like to ride the gondola for a scenic view, the cost is $8 per person, and...Read More
