Lac Viet is actually owned by a friend of my wife. I've seen his business grow by leaps and bounds, yet he still maintains a friendly, local atmosphere. I think it's the best Vietnamese food in town, and at less than $5 for any meal, it's a must-visit if you're ever in Columbus. I've seen the owner "spot" visitors for their meal if they don't have enough cash, and it's fun to sit and eat on the stools, and watch all the people come and go.The beef pho is my favorite, and is great on a cold day.
