Family trip to Knott's Berry Farm with a stay at the Buena Park, CA Radisson Suites.

Radisson Suites Hotel

Conditions were deplorable:
- Had first floor room facing pool which had loud group of kids until midnight, despite 10pm closing. Calls to front desk were not acted upon.
- Ashtray and matches in non-smoking room.
- Broken window in bedroom, which caused street noise and security risk.
- Daytime featured the noise of thumping bass, construction, noisy neighbors, and an unmade room. The thumping bass was from a party in the ballroom adjoining the outside courtyard; the construction was in a room five down from ours including jackhammers, saws, and hammering; the neighbors in the room immediately above ours were running and jumping in the room, making sound as if they were going to come through the ceiling; and housekeeping had not been to our room in the 4 and 1/2 hours we were gone; however, maintenance did fix the window.
- Poor customer service when duty manager refused to act on any of concerns during the day, when our two-year old was trying to nap (the reason we had a hotel in the first place), and told my wife if we didn't like the conditions, to leave the property.

Returning to the hotel, I immediately asked to speak with the General Manager, since the manager on duty had given my wife such attitude. I was told that the General Manager was unavailable but was given the Front Office Manager. I relayed the entire situation to him, he searched for another room for us to see if we could get away from the noise. His solutions was a fourth floor room immediately across the courtyard from us, which he allowed us to visit to see if it was acceptable before moving. Entering the new room and closing the door, we found that both the party and construction were even louder in this room, but at least the bright spot was the lack of upstairs neighbor noise, since it was only a four-story hotel. We immediately left the room, my wife to our old room to pack and me to the lobby to let them know we were checking out now (at 3 pm). The Front Office Manager immediately produce a bill for one night at half of our original rate. Not wanting to waste anymore time on this situation at the present time, I signed the receipt and went to help my wife load the car. We then returned to the park with our daughter, who despite no nap did remarkably well until we left at 6pm (the park closes at 10pm) for our two-hour drive to return home to San Diego.

I have never encountered a Radisson, or any other major hotel chain, with such deplorable conditions. I am going to contact Radisson about the property and hope for further compensation. I most definitely do not recommend this property to anyone.
