The Hyatt Regency at the Arcade is located in a beautiful historic building in Downtown Cleveland (I wish I had taken a picture of the Arcade because it was very cool-looking). The location couldn't be better, as the hotel is within walking distance of the theater district, the Tower City mall, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, among other local attractions. Because it's close to Tower City, it's easy (and cheap) to catch the RTA red line to and from the airport. Check-in was a breeze. As soon as I walked up, a hotel worker encouraged me to use the new automated check in machine (very similar to the ones at the airport). It worked like a charm even though I booked my room through Priceline. ...Read More

Scorchers

Restaurant

Quote:
I chose to eat at Scorchers because of its participation in the American Airlines dining rewards program and its proximity to my hotel in downtown Cleveland. The restaurant features wood tables, darts, a pool table and a variety of televisions for viewing sports. If you're looking for something fancy, go elsewhere. Scorchers serves up its pub fare on paper plates. If you're looking for some cheap fried appetizers and draft beer in laid back atmosphere, you'll be happy at Scorchers. The day I visited, service was friendly, but slow.

Hanna Theater

Attraction

Quote:
Nestled in the Theater District of downtown Cleveland, the Hanna Theater is an excellent venue to see a concert. I attended a concert featuring acoustic performances from Matt Kearny and Ace Young in December, 2006. The 400-seat theater features cabaret-style seating, offering a uniquely intimate concert experience. A cash bar sells drinks that may be taken to your table inside the theater. The theater is also close to many downtown hotels, making it convenient for tourists. The size of the theater ensures that there is not a bad seat in the house. The Hanna Theater is part of the Playhouse Square Center, a non-profit organization the presents a wide variety of performing arts and offers ...Read More

I recently travelled to Cleveland and did not plan on renting a car as I was going to spend all my time downtown. I looked into transportation to and from the airport, and Cleveland does not offer SuperShuttles or any other form of inexpensive transportation. I decided to take the RTA Red Line $1.75 poorer and less than 30 minutes later I arrived downtown at Tower City Mall. It was quick, easy, and saved me a $30 taxi ride.
