Anna Maria Island

Overview

The beach is beautiful. The waters are calm. The sand is white. Just relax. Anna Maria island is an hour's drive from the Tampa Bay International Airport. It is a very small, quaint island. At the time of this review, it is non-commercialized. No high-rise hotels and condos, no McDonald's or other chain restaurants. It's a perfect place to go kayaking, fishing, parasailing, shelling, or take a bike ride around the island. Or, just do nothing at all!Quick Tips: There are a lot of little broken shells close to the shore. I would recommend wearing beach shoes. Watch the sunset. Look into vacation rentals. This quaint bed and breakfast is the perfect getaway! Open your back door and you are five steps away from feeling the sand between your toes! 25 yards away from the beautiful water!

Breakfast is served daily at the main house. Everyday something different is offered. The waitstaff is wonderful! During my stay, I delighted in cheese blintzes, omelets, eggs, bacon, toast, eggs Benedict... The toast was wonderful!

The service there is outstanding. Everyone is extremely nice and pleasant. I very highly recommend the Harrington House!

Oma's is the best pizza, ever! This little place is located in Bradenton Beach on Anna Maria island. I would recommend the Oma's special. The ingredients were super fresh!

This place is very casual. You are given paper plates to eat on.
