Mirror Lake

Attraction | "Swim the Lake"

Quote:
Even if you aren't staying directly on Mirror Lake, if you enjoy swimming in a clean lake, free of personal watercraft, this is the place to go. You will likely find company during your swim for good reason - the annual Lake Placid Ironman Triathlon is a qualifier for the World Championships in Hawaii and the swimming portion of the race takes place on this lake. You may even find the markers still in place. There is a public beach that provides access, as well as the numerous hotels located directly on the lake.
