Manayunk has many festivals throughout the summer. I went on the Canal Day festival; there was musical entertainment along Main St. which was closed to traffic.I suggest taking a walk along the Canal Towpath and Main St., simply admiring the Old World architecture of this Philly suburb (part of Philly actually). It's certainly unlike any suburb I've ever been to. Grab a bite to eat at one of the chic Italian or Japanese restaurants or if on a budget, go to a pizza joint or the Vegetarian Cafe.
