Montego Bay

Restaurant

Quote:
When you first hear the words Montego Bay being said, you might start thinking of Jamaica. Well, I hate to burst your bubble, but were talking about a restaurant in Panama City Beach, Florida. Montego Bay isn't a Jamaican restaurant, but is a seafood and American restaurant and features a bar that shows various sporting events.I have been to Montego Bay several times, and have been pleased everytime I have visited. The burgers are excellent, and it's just not myself who believes this. Several individuals I know think the Super Diver Burger and 'the Burger' are some of the best around. Burgers aren't the main gig here, but seafood is. There is a fried grouper sandwich that is incredible. The br...Read More

When I was younger I spent many nights at St. Andrews State Park with my Boy Scout troop. The park contains just about everything you need to stay here. There are various hiking trails, many fishing opportunities (in the Grand Lagoon and in the Gulf of Mexico). Beach access that has shelters, grills, and a store. The group campsite has not frills, theres water and shower/outhouse of sorts. Otherwise, its just camping out on the dunes. As for the individual campsites, they are located along the Grand Lagoon with much more developed facilities including Shelters, grills, bathhouses, playgrounds, to name a few.

This museum has a lot of potential, and they are planning much more extensive facilities to meet their potential. However, at the time the museum is rather small, and is to say the least a bit boring... and that is hard for me to say. If your really into the whole dive scene, you may appreciate this more than me. I will add that your kids may like climbing around in some of the old dive stations that are located in the parking lot. Also, once this museum is able to build a new building away from the current site, it should be more interesting, but I would not count on this happening in the foreseeable future.

Edgewater Cinema

Attraction

Quote:
I have been to this theater many, many times to enjoy a wide variety of movies. I should note that among many locals, Edgewater Cinemas has a reputation of being the "dirty" theater compared to the Carmike or Regency across the Bay in Panama City. While, yes I could see this as being true sometimes (as with most any movie theater), but overall I have been pleased. On a side note this theater has also hosted the only movie premier (as far as I know) in Panama City Beach - National Lampoon's Van Wilder, a few years ago during spring break.

Frank Brown Park

Attraction

Quote:
Frank Brown Park is the premier public recreation facility (besides the beaches!) that is within the City of Panama City Beach. If you are looking for something that isnt the beach or shopping and looking for another way to kick back this is the place to head to. There are various sport fields (soccer, baseball, football), playgrounds, walking trails, a fishing pond, and the recently opened aquatic center. The aquatic center is fairly large with water many different activities throughout the calendar year. However, do be aware that using the pool will cost you $10 if you are not a Florida resident. Frank Brown Park constantly host various special events. If you are in the area, it would be suggested t...Read More
