Wonderful, complete resort: brand-new, wonderful people, beautiful property, very nice pool area, beach close by, great restaurants, lots to see and do

We own a two-bedroom, two-bath unit here. Since this was the first time we were there, we were very happy when we opened the door to the unit. It was very large, brand-new, with beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms. Huge walk-in shower and separate Jacuzzi tub. The shower in the master bath was the new "rain" head, which was very nice. There were king beds and large TVs in both bedrooms. The other bedroom had two queen beds that they put together as one. The closet space was great in both rooms, and the second bath was great. We had a plasma TV in the main area and a very nice kitchen, fully equipped. Washer and dryer were there too. Everything you could want was in that unit. Just a beautiful unit--our view was also very nice. We faced the front and overlooked the mountains across the street and the beautiful gardens of our property. I am so glad we own at this resort.

The pool area at this resort is just lovely. It is not overly large but very adequate, with plenty of room for all at the pool. It is great for adults and kids alike. There is a shuttle to take u to the beach nearby, or to the Hilton Waikoloah hotel down the road. We own at the resort, so we have free use of all the facilities at the hotel. To be very honest, we didn't go there but one day, we liked our place so much. But if you have children, they will love the hotel pools and such. I almost forgot that there is a site right nearby that has a path with ancient hieroglyphics that is very interesting and worth seeing, within walking distance. Right near the resort area are many fine restaurants and a shopping mall, Queens Center, I believe, where you can find relatively cheap food and fun. Excellent shopping too!

Hawaii (General)
Hawaii, Big Island, Hawaii

Huggos is a must-go-to restaurant if you are there. The food is wonderful, and you are literally sitting on the beach. The sunsets are spectacular, and this is a nice way to see them. We also love Roy's Restaurant, and that is Asian-fusion food. We go there everytime we are visiting this resort. It is so close to our resort, you can walk there, but a shuttle will take you there too. We love these two restaurants. Do not miss either of them. You have to make a reservation for Roy's, but just do it. It is wonderful; their chocolate souffle is not to be missed!
