Having lived in Santa Cruz, CA for three years of my life, San Diego has a lot of the same easy going and charming feel to it. You can't help but be captured by the beautiful coastal scenery, where abundant commercial and military boats filled the horizon. We made the best out of our long weekend in SD by visiting both of the Zoos, and downtown. Try to spend at least 3-4 days in SD, you'll find that the San DIego zoo is world class and might be tempted to stay a little longer.
