My husband and I, and one of our best friends-another couple had a bliss at this resort. It was truly a 4-star all inclusive resort-we used our RCI timeshare. Once we arrived at the airport, we received the VIP treatment... prior arrangements were made one week before our trip and right at the airport, they were the Club Velas shuttle waiting to pick us up. They offered us water, juice, refreshments, etc., etc., (it was hot-beware of the timeshare mongers, they were everywhere). Once we got to the resort, another RCI rep came to check us in which was easy. The lobby area made of marble floors, beautiful painting, artwork, etc. It was breathtaking.
Rooms: were decent (we had huge and better rooms at Moon Palace, Cancun) but the view from our room was amazing.
Activities: bargain, bargain, bargain! We did and got deals.
Food: they had 3 restaurants-very good food. Make sure to eat at Andreas. One of the top restaurants in Puerto Vallarta We also had access (RCI members) to Casa Velas Resort and another velas... free shuttles to the other 2 resorts from Club velas.
We ventured out to downtown area and went to a tour arranged by the resort. We got to have the cultural expereince... went to the shops, churches, villages, etc. while in the city, timeshare reps are all over. We actually made money-$90 per person for listening to another timeshare talk at Grand Mayan Palace at the Nuevo Vallarta. Our advise-if you have RCI, stay with them because all the other timeshares try to compare their benefits to RCI. We go-carting, snorkeling at Las Arcos... There were activities every night, we loved the 80s night- I am forgetting much details but we loved this resort and will come again in a heart beat. We might decide to stay at the Casa Veals... if we wanted something quiter-all adult, and quite lovely.
