Tubing on the river
Suit yourself in a tractortube, and let the river carry you for a few hours. Great relaxation when the river is calm, great adventure when the river is Wild.

Visit the Caves
Around Vang Vieng you can see several spectacular caves. You need to hire a guide to enter some of the caves, and one cave has a pool for swimming.

Just Relax
Vang Vieng is a really good place to relax. Lots of good restaurant are becoming available. And the place is not yet overly touristy.

Party at the river beach
Recently a couple of large speakers and a tent have been placed on the riverbeach. Staying there in the afternoon is great.

Quick Tips:

More and more tourist are coming to Vang Vieng. Go now - before it's too late.

Best Way To Get Around:

You can walk around Vang Vieng, it's not that big. Hiring a bike and visiting the area around the city is a great idea.

Restaurant

A western owned place in the center of Vang Vieng, which is visited by several backpackers every night. Great place for having a snack and a beer while chatting with other travelers and just relaxing.
