Cheesecake Factory

Restaurant

Quote:
This was my first time eating at a Cheesecake Factory. I was in a group of four so we decided to get the appetizer sampler. Wow, what a feast! Avocado Eggrolls, Spinach and Cheese Dip, Pot Stickers, Summer Rolls, Quesadilla, Corn Cakes, Buffalo Blasts, and Calamari, oh my god! The buffalo blasts were definitely the favorite. They were little triangles filled with buffalo chicken and then deep fried. They were served with blue cheese dressing naturally. We did not know what to anticipate with the appetizer sample so we ordered entrées also. After eating the delicious brown bread they bring to all the tables and then all the appetizers we were all too full for our entrées! We took a few bites though so ...Read More

Westport

Attraction

Quote:
Westport was a great spot for nightclubbing! What could be better than an entire street of just clubs? We started off at The Cactus. It was pretty packed. The scene was very multi-ethnic which we appreciated. The drinks were reasonable. We had a good time sitting outside on the balcony, drinking, talking, and enjoying the scenery. The Cactus closes at 1am so we moseyed on over to America's Pub. Once again another multi-ethnic club. The place was packed and the dance floor was hyped. We spent most of the time on the dance floor. The music wasn't the greatest, but everyone was enjoying themselves anyways. The guys can get a little frisky with the hands so be warned. When the club closes it definitely tu...Read More

Blonde

Attraction | "The Blonde"

This reminded me of a trendy spot you would see in New York City, LA, or Vegas. The decor was very high scale and trendy. The downside is the nonexistent dance floor. People basically sat, drank, and, socialized. We went on a Sunday night and it was still very busy. There was a DJ that was playing the best music I heard in Kansas City. The people were all good looking with designer clothes. All in all the place was cool.

Edge of Hell

Attraction | "The Edge of Hell"

Quote:
I come from a much smaller city and I am not use to paying $20 for a haunted house. I was on vacation though so what the heck. The abandoned industrial atmosphere of where the Edge is located really sets the scene. As we near the Edge, we saw the extremely long line to get in. OK, hopefully this is a sign that this place is great! We get in line and were told by a worker walking around that the place in line we were at was a 2 hour wait. So we waited. While in line there is a Beetlejuice-esque type dude that walks around putting a real life rat in his mouth. This is not as terrifying as seeing the multitudes of people buying the VIP pass which allows them to cut the line. We finally get in...Read More
