Week of Disney

An October 2006 trip to Orlando by qobp

Quote: I mainly went to Disney World through the vacation, but also some places in Orlando.

Courtyard by Marriott Lake Buena Vista in The Marriott Village

Hotel | "Marriott SHS Lake Buena Vista"

Quote:
The rooms were very nice and you can even get ones with balconies. In front and on the side of the hotel there are two ponds with large fountains. The hotel is also centrally located with restaurants all around it. It has two pools and a breakfast buffet. The breakfast costs $8 for adults and $4 for kids. The people at the front desk are very nice and will help you with anything you ask. The hotel also has an arcade and a gift shop.

'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Resort

Restaurant | "'Ohana"

Quote:
It costs about $26 per person, but that gets you four courses. First you get a salad and wontons with 3 different sauces, then you get shrimp covered in a tropical sauce and chicken wings covered in a darker sauce as an appetizer. Then your main course, turkey, steak, pork, and pork sausage (all you can eat and they bring this all to you). Then you get dessert which is this moist banana bread with banana foster sauce and ice cream. They also have fun entertainment you can participate in like limbo and coconut races.

Rainforest Cafe Animal Kingdom

Restaurant | "Rainforest Cafe"

Quote:
The inside is filled with rainforest decorations and aquariums. It has real looking animals that move and make noises. The bar stools are shaped like the bottom half of animals. The waiters are really nice and the prices may seem expensive but the food makes up for it. Personally, I would recommend the strawberry and mango shortcake, it is amazing!

Disney's Animal Kingdom

Attraction | "Animal Kingdom"

Quote:
We went the day after Halloween to Animal Kingdom and they already had the Christmas tree up. When you are walking through it actually looks like you are walking through somewhere other than America. There are random bands playing everywhere with different types of music. Animal Kingdom also has a conservation area where you can donate money to help animals around the world and there is also a petting zoo for kids.
