I visit Bangkok almost 3-5 times a year, but I never feel bored of this buzzing city. Since Air Asia in Malaysia launched its route to Bangkok with the taglline - Now Everyone Can Fly, I visit the city even more often. This city is so rich in its own unique culture, with lots to see and do, at a very low budget. It's indeed a good place to getaway for a short break when you only have a little to spend. It makes you feel rich, for a short while, and that feeling, I believe, can only be found in Bangkok. For many times that I have been to Bangkok, this particular trip has made me write a journal to share with others my great experience of the trip. This trip is very different from...Read More

Strategically situated at the east side of Chao Phraya River, Menam Riverside Hotel offers a stunning view of the river, especially during sunset. This 4-star hotel is newly renovated with modern looking rooms. Always request a high level room in order to get a better view of the river!Less than US$50 per night, the superior riverview room offers great comfort with clean and tidy necessities, putting aside the great view. Hot and cold shower, bath tub, drinking water, coffee making facility, network TV, hairdryer... All needed are mostly provided! The hotel's swimming pool, open from 7am to 9pm daily, is indeed very charming. Being secluded by the main building and coconut trees, i...Read More

Certain websites list Indra Regent as a 4 star hotel, but I have came across that it's being listed as 3 star too.But to me, it serves as a 3.5 star hotel. Turning into the lobby main entrance may not be convinced to pay for the price, however when you get into the huge, clean and comfortable room, it does worth it. Indra Regent looks old from the outside, but the interior is modern and well maintained.Besides the clean and comfortable rooms are charming swimming pool, good varieties of food offered at breakfast, room amenities...There is also a tour counter at the lobby which offers day tours and tour programs to hotel guests. Pick a tour or two, and your coach will pick you u...Read More

Being a serviced apartment located right in the heart of Bangkok, Sukhumvit Soi 15, within walking distance to Asoke BTS and MRTA Station, this hotel is generally a good place to stay. Asia Bookstore, road side stalls, Massage parlours, Money Changer, Robinson Department Store and McDonalds are right in front of the main road while cafés and shops are all around the corner. There is no down moment in Sukhumvit, whenever you walk back/walk out the hotel!A small compound, which has limited occupancy, it offers a quiet environment that blends in with charming decorations. Low density also means that hotel staffs pay more attention to you when customers are in need of information and assis...Read More
