From Verona you can take the trail for about 13 miles through some wonderful farmland which then turns to woods and ends up in Mt Horeb. The last mile and a half is up a steady incline which is never that demanding, but, by the end, your legs will burn from the effort. There is a great rest house with water and nice bathrooms and a couple of picnic tables right in the center of Mt Horeb. Please note that the trail costs $3 to ride and you pay at any of the first rest stops you come across.
The trail was an old railroad line that went defunct and is mostly packed dirt and gravel. It is very nice to ride on as long as it is not pouring rain. Please see my other entries for fun things to do in Mt Horeb.
