I went to India with my parents to meet a family. We visited lot's of sights and had the opportunity to spend time within their house. We had one day to do some shopping and managed to get some great bargains

Overview

* Taj Mahal was a great exeperience.
* Red Fort was nice, but full of touts.
* Shopping was great in Delhi at connaught place markets.

Quick Tips:

* Food - Yum! though don't eat off the streets.
* Taj Mahal charges 900 r's for foreigners. Fridays the Taj is Free
* Watch out for touts at Red Fort selling badges for entrance to suport a charity.
* Be firm with touts- you can't hurt their feelings.

Best Way To Get Around:

We used a taxi to run us around everywhere, these are very cheap.
To get up to the Taj take a rickshaw- it should cost around 20 r's no more.

The rooms were fine, they seemed clean and the staff was friendly, however we did have a large rat in our room and also mice in the restaurant.

NOT recommended if you hate mice-like me.....arghh
