The rainforests and beaches around Cairns do not even come close to being as exotic and wild as those around Cape Trib. When you ride the car ferry across the Daintree River, you feel like you are entering another world - the road becomes narrower, the forest more dense, and the people more sparse.We stayed at Crocodylus Village. The place feels like you are camping in wild rain forest (you stay in canvas-walled cabins that are scattered through the forest), except that there's a friendly bar and restaurant.
