Walking around the peninsula of the Cap Ferrat, around the port, looking at boats, finding retaurants was the occupation for the first day. A visit to Grasse, above Cannes is interesting. Belle Aurore

Hotel

Simple hotel, well situated, close to the center of the town, which means within walking distance for your lunches and dinners. The hotel is being slowly renovated and it will be even better each season.

Capitaine Cook

Restaurant

Although there are plenty of restaurants along the harbour front, try the first one for honest local food or the Pirate for a paella.

Now we really did like the atmosphere of the small dining room at the Capitaine Cook. The owner will come to your table and she will explain the different fishes (e.g. the daurade royale cooked to perfection) that are the catch of the day. Definitely a place to try.

Take your time to walk in the garden. You will have a view on the sea from both sides. Also check all the different flowers and trees around.

It is fun place to go with the kids, although a small zoo by big city standards. But will be a nice walk and the kids will love it.
