Lake Tahoe, America's "Oasis in the sky" has something for everyone, even in the summer.

Gorgeous scenic views. Clean, safe gambling.

Quick Tips:

There are lots of cabins for rent at decent rates in the summer season.

Best Way To Get Around:

Driving is the best way to get around in Tahoe. A trip around the lake or a trip into town requires wheels.
The accommodations were luxurious and if you go with a few other people are not that expensive. The condo allows you to save on food and to have a little more privacy.

Cafe Cobblestone

Restaurant

Cafe Cobblestone serves a multitude of different breakfasts from Omelettes to biscuits and gravy. For under $10 you can make a pig of yourself. Modeled as a Swiss chalet, it is a very pleasant dining experience.

Harrahs

Activity

Harrahs was cleaner than the other casinos, although, more crowded. Perhaps it was the fact that I won there that it became my favorite. However, the amount of slots was enough so that I didn't have to wait in line, the facilities were clean and there was plenty of staff to take care of your needs.

Lake Tahoe's perimeter has many photography stops. People clammer around the best views to get their best shots. Amazingly clean and well preserved, these stops don't interfere with nature around you and allow you to enjoy all that you see.

Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe is reknowned for its ski resorts but in the summer the scenic views are breath-taking. A seventy five mile trip around the lake is a must, it is a lovely drive.

Back in Tahoe, my favorite casino was Harrahs...or maybe it was because, there, I won all the money I had lost back. Seriously, the casinos were very clean and I saw street patrols everywhere which made me feel safe.

The lake itself is very inviting although, the presence of humans threaten its unpolluted water.

I recommend a stay at Tahoe in the summer. The scenic views alone are worth the trip and, of course, the casinos.
