A March 2001 trip
to Amsterdam by Little Tiger
Quote: My friend invited me to go with her and her sister. There were moments I can only express by saying, 'I had this crazy dream, and I woke up in Amsterdam' I never learned so much from a city in all my life.
You'll never eat so much cheese in your life, it's 'gooda!' And the fish is nothing but the best.
Boom Chicago- Comedy Improv, great show, good food
Harlaam- good to get off the beaten path; very quaint city; Frans Hals Museum worth seeing
Zans Schaans- real, working windmills! Cheese making attraction, best Choconuts chocolates I've ever had in my life
Aalsmeer- Flower Auction, at 6am: where Wall Street meets Frank's Nursery. 6000 sq m of gorgeous flowers of every color, inside a warehouse,p>
Boat ride- comprehensive look at the waterways
duh it's Amsterdam: I recommend the Bulldog (i can't remember the other coffeeshops' names)
Don't be an 'American Ass,' the people are pleasantly not impressed with anything and will jump for you for nothing, so don't be surprised. -- you have to ask for your tab, or it will never come -- the city looks bizaar even when you're not high, so know the city and where your hotel/hostel is before getting blazed up.
