A July 2006 trip
to Mendoza by Robert Raymond Ingledew
Quote: If you every want to really enjoy the scenery while you are eating, this is the ideal place where to eat. Conveniently located half a mile away from the village, with a fantastic panoramic view.
As everything in Las Leñas, it is expensive. But you can get the special of the day (chicken with potatoes and a coke) for less than , or eat a "milanesa" breaded meat for . Wine is expensive ( to for a bottle of wine, depending on the brand, compare with .50 to in Mendoza city). A Coke will cost you about a dollar and a half.
Service is good and food is OK. It is certainly the best option for eating in Las Leñas, if you are fond of nature, and a unique place to enjoy.
I wish to repeat here, that if you are not a skier, Las Leñas is a place to be one day. For skiers it is fantastic, you can combine 3 tracks and come skiing 6 miles down the mountain. But if you are only sightseeing, you have very few options, since only skiers are allowed on the ski lift.
But it is a place you should not miss, and you can visit it from Mendoza city on the tour I mentioned above.
Have a look at the photos and enjoy the scenery.
