Cape Cod is a great family vacation destination for a combination of outdoor activities, a relaxed atmosphere, sightseeing and water sports.

Week on the CapeBest of IgoUgo

Overview

Fun activities that we have enjoyed include sportfishong for bass and blues on the Fishtale, a boat out of Saquatucket Harbor in Harwichport, Cape League Baseball games all over the cape, our favorite spots are Chatham and Orleans, Skaket Beach in Orleans - great for young kids, West Dennis Beach is also a fun beach. Sundae School in Dennis is The Spot for ice cream, and The Squire in Chatham has great local seafood.

Quick Tips:

The best way to enjoy the Cape is to rent a house that is walking distance from the beach and from town. Hang out at the house, go to the beach, cook lobsters and BBQs for dinner and just relax and enjoy the fun.

Best Way To Get Around:

Walking is the best way to get around, avoid driving too much if you can.
The best way to go is to call a real estate office and find a house for a week. Commonwealth Associates was very helpful in finding a good place in the mid-Cape area.

Fishtale Sportfishing in Saquatucket HarborBest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Fishtale Sportfishing"

A fun day on the water slamming lots of big bass and blues. We caught over 20 fish, the biggest fish was over 40 inches long!

Provincetown Bike TrailsBest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Biking the Cape Cod Bike Trail"

A leisurely, paved bike path that runs the length of the cape along an old railroad route. It is very well maintained and takes you by some beautiful scenic spots throughout the cape. There are also plenty of shops, restaurants and places to stop along the way.
