A September 2006 trip to Big Sur by coastalweeks

Quote: The lure of Big Sur. I'd often heard this was a magical place but found out for myself recently on a trip with my boyfriend. He has been out there several times and was my guide.

The dining room here is small, intimate and romantically lit complete with classical music piped in. It has rustic appeal and is pretty casual. But don't be fooled the food here is wonderful and so is the wine! They serve everything from fish to beef.

They bring hummus with the bread instead of butter.

To start, I had a green goddess salad and my boyfriend had a fennel soup, both of which were delicious. Then I had an organic raised filet that was out of this world. My boyfriend had rack of lamb encrusted with panko.
