A September 2006 trip
to Guam by Eric from Aiea
Quote: Though still recovering from the destruction of a 2002 super typhoon, Guam's beaches and reefs are worth a visit out to the Mariannas.

Attraction | "Marty's Mexican Merienda & Cantina "
Night time at Marty’s on Tuesdays and Fridays nights finds a live band playing Latino music in the cantina, and a fun good sized crowd that includes tourists, local families, military, and everyone else.
Meals include chips and Marty's excellent salsa that is just the right heat. Entrees include Culiacan Shrimp, wrapped in bacon and grilled with lemon and spices. There are several variations you can order of Mexican foods, to include shredded or ground beef. Do try the enchiladas and the tacos.

One of the best tourist items you can get on Guam is one of the T-shirts from the Harley-Davidson shop on the 2nd Floor. The back of the new shirts ($25) has a Harley Mariannas design that it pretty sharp looking. The old designs are harder to find.
There is an ABC store in the Mall, with a few more items than the ones every 100 meters on Hotel Road, particularly in the T-Shirt selections. There are also numerous other Guam and Mariannas souvenir places in the mall for whatever tourist items you might want.Amongst the food places in the mall, Cold Stone Creamery is there (on the first floor)and always a great way of beating the Guam heat. The food court has your typical mall foods with a Jollibee and several other Pinoy and Chamorro fast food type places to eat.
