a place to visit is "Malecon 2000" right on the harbor I would give a (***** Five stars ) Excellent 3 miles to walk around and enjoy the majestic Chocolate River so many places to eat , shop and relax awesome.
Another city to visit is Cuenca this area has a colder climate. Its a more of civilized area. People r very respectful.
An hour and a half away is a place called "EL Pan" is a little town its so nice and peaceful there. the air is thicker its rural area.

Quick Tips:
Quick tip is money...have single dollar bills and lots of coins no big bill over 20 cuz marority of the places don't have change or wont accept it cuz they are afraid of fake bills. Especially a the airport when your departing they won't accept 50 dollar bill. Set apart a 20 dollar bill.
