The Comfort Inn in Levittown is located about 15 minutes away from Sesame Place (an amusement park for the pre-school set J). This is obvious from the minute you walk in the door. We were greeted by two large cut out Elmo’s, several balloons and other pictures of Sesame Street characters. The desk clerk asked us if we were planning to go to Sesame Place, which of course we were, so she gave us pre-printed maps and directions to Sesame Place and even cooler, back to the hotel. They’ve obviously done this many times before. This Inn is located on US13 which only allows right hand turns to exit, so every time you come or go, you have to make u-turns at side streets. The hotel again cleverly provid...Read More

We went to the Pizza Hut for supper around 6pm on a weeknight. Apparently we picked a good night to go because they were running out of lots of things, which worked to our favour. We ordered drinks and dinner at the same time. Mom had a diet Pepsi, I had a Pepsi, the 8-year-old had a Hawaiian Punch, and the 4-year-old had water. They were out of kids cups, so the punch and water both arrived in large adult size cups. But, since they were out of kids cups they charged only for a kids drink anyway (.99). We told the waitress we weren’t very hungry and ordered the family dinner for 2 which comes with a medium pizza, 2 drinks, and 2 salads or breadsticks for $15.99. We had the pizz...Read More

We splurged and went for the 'Breakfast with Cookie Monster' option, a buffet breakfast with several costumed characters there for photo ops. We did indeed get to see Cookie Monster, as well as Big Bird, Burt, Ernie, and the Count. There is also a 'Breakfast with Elmo' option which is the same food but indoors. Breakfast with Cookie Monster was $11.95 for kids, $13.95 for adults, Breakfast with Elmo was $2 more per head. The baby was free. We ate in a large tent, which was good because it was raining quite a bit when we got there. We needed to be there by 9:15 (and you need to have reservations). Breakfast ran from 9:15-10:15 with the park opening up at 10:00am.Breakfast cons...Read More

We were at Sesame Place all day and although we had breakfast there and had seconds, by around 2pm we were in need of food. We had taken a couple of bananas in for the baby, which was lucky. When we went for lunch it was quite a bit past lunch time. Also, we were there in the 'fringe' season. It was cold and wet, and school had already started in PA when we were there. This explains why we had such a hard time finding someplace to eat. There were several restaurants and snack places in the park, but most of them were closed when we went looking. Finally we found a cafeteria style eatery. There was a long line up, even at 2 (probably because of the lack of other eateries) and th...Read More

We went to Sesame Place because we thought the 4-year-old would love it. She did, but not as much as either of her brothers. The 8-year-old loved the characters, and going on the rides. The baby loved getting to see the characters and the pictures on the walls. The price was quite high, $42.95 per person (same price for kids but hte baby was free). This did include all the rides, but it didn't include food, souvenirs, and games, nor did it include parking ($10 regular, $14 preferred). We splurged and went for the 'Breakfast with Cookie Monster' option, (see my other review for more details). The good news about this is that we were in the park first thing in t...Read More
