Summer 2006 in Puerta Vallarta

This was a wonderful place, the service was beyond belief! People fell over each other to be accommodating to you. The resort had 2 restaurants that were top notch, the food was excellent.The restaurant Andre had a theme night every night and the food was comparable to any 5-star restaurant in NYC.

By the pool was a restaurant and it serves great food, but don't sit by the rail by the beach or you will be annoyed by local venders peddling their wares.

The Aqua Bar was great and they had a nice grouping of specialty Drinks. My favorite was the Miami Vice and the Superman.

Warning this is a timeshare and they will ask you for the 90-minute tour, 90 minutes in Mexico is 4 hours in the States.

But It was so good we Bought a week every year there.

I highly recommend the Sierra Madre Jungle tour. Our guide, JC, was the greatest. Not only did he led our expedition into the tropical rainforest of the Sierra Madre mountains, but he was very informative about Mexican culture and history. What was wild was JC was a former Boy Scout Leader in Mexico, and we are very involved with scouting in Long Beach, NY. He gave us great detail about the Mexican rainforest, and my favorite was the Papel Tree, which was ice-cold when you leaned against it, even though the temp was over 100 degrees.
