Iruña CafeBest of IgoUgo

Restaurant

Opened in 1903, this cafe is a classic when in Bilbao. I used to go there for a coffee, and enjoy watching the decorated walls (arabesque style, with views of the Alhambra and Andalucia) and the classy atmosphere. It is a nice place to meet at night and start the night here...

They have a wide variety of "pintxos" (basque country tapas) for the before lunch "aperitivos" or you can have a proper meal "a la carte"..

Attraction

Bilbao was a big grey industrial town until the 90s, economical heart of the Basque Country, in northern Spain.

But since the opening of a new Guggenheim Museum by the river, the city has reborn from its ashes, has brightened up and now is a major touristic destination... they call it "Guggy Effect"!!

Attraction

It is something different, and not really Spanish. But it is still fun to go and dance the salsa with some nice Spanish ladies ;-)

We got in dressed just casual, it is just a bar, but maybe on Saturdays you might have to be bit more dressed up.
