I spent 3 days freely touring around the city of Prague in late 2004 with a friend. I saw most of the more popular sites, and managed to take a walking tour one day.

The detail in the clock is truly amazing. At certain times of the day little statues pop out and almost put on a show. Plus, since this is an astronomical clock, it tells much more than just the time. It really is one of the most unique things I've seen.

Charles Bridge

Activity

The Charles Bridge was truly fantastic this time of year. It was right before Christmas, so the bridge was full of carolers in addition to the regular vendors I'd think you'd see there on a daily basis. This bridge is the perfect place for a stroll.

Old Town Square

Activity

I was here right before Christmas, and the Town Square was transformed into a Christmas village. There were booths all over selling hot drinks and food. There were the usual vendors of small knick knacks, but I also saw some blacksmiths and other artisans putting on displays. It truly was a unique experience.
