A DIGRESSION ABOUT FAMILIES WHO BRING KIDS TO VEGAS: Kids are fine and all, but the reality is that my wife and I do not go to Vegas to be around kids, period. We don't want to see them there and I can't stand when families bring their kids there. People, get the hint. The "family-friendly Vegas" experiment is OVER. It didn't work. Why? Because it was scaring away the grown ups. Parents, get the hint: Vegas does not want you there with your kids. There's a ton of other places for children in the Southwestern United States. Go there. Please. And yes, if you were in Vegas last week with your kids and saw some guy giving you a dirty look, that was me.

One more thing, the big difference in our experience from "Identity Crisis" maybe was because was that we were there on a Sunday and Monday in the dead of August (which is exactly when we go to Vegas -- we live in SoCal so we just got in the car and go). If we were there on a Friday or Saturday, I can easily see how our experiences may have been similar.
