Story/Tip

The Washington State Capital building is awe inspiring when you first see it. Majestic marble and the inside is newly redone following the earthquake. The lighting is magnificent and the floors and everything is kept sparkling clean. Once you get to see the actual Senate and house floors they look amazing as well, if you are lucky enough to see them in Senate it's amazing to see democracy at work, it's like a mini version of the National Assembly, although it does get boring pretty quickly, so don't plan to spend a lot of time there. They do have a nice Law library with all the major national cases on file as well as all the Washington State laws and cases in files. If you are so inclined you can sit in on a Supreme Court hearing as well because they are located in the same building.
